I am ordering a birth certificate for a friend born in the UK in 1961.
Believe it or not, she does not possess an original certificate, and she does not know her father's name.
Her mother refuses to give her any information, but on the transcript I acquired through Ancestry, her mother is listed as having 2 maiden names,
one possibly being the father's name.
The strange thing is, that her birth has been registered on 3 different occasions. There are separate entries in 1961, 1962, and 1963.
Does this mean that each certificate would have different information?
Could new information have been added with each entry?
At this stage, I have ordered only one certificate, the one registered in 1961,
but I wonder if I should order all 3.
I would really appreciate some advice.
