Re: Daniel & Elizabeth ELDRIDGE

It was not a CofE marriage because Mary was RC.

Freeman's Journal (Sydney, NSW) - Thu 10 May 1923 p.30
DEATHS
ELDRIDGE.-April 5th, 1923, at Binda, Mrs. Thomas Eldridge, senr., at the age of 72. R.I.P.

Bap V18501694 68/1850 EVANS MARY - GEORGE - JANE

Volume 68 is RC.

That is on my list to look up at the library.

Re: Daniel & Elizabeth ELDRIDGE

According to the entries I have found regarding her trial, they all give a dob of 1814 for Elizabeth Gunyon. There is this baptism

Elizabeth Gunyon born 24 May 1814, bapt. (along with brother Thomas born 1816) 16 September 1817 at St Georges Hanover Square. Parents William and Mary. William's occupation is given as Waiter and their address is Albermarle Street.

Can't find anything re baptism for Daniel.

Re: Daniel & Elizabeth ELDRIDGE

Thanks Emeltee.

That is a bit lucky.

Convicts to NSW usually have ages in various records so different it's almost impossible to be sure of a baptism.

Re: Daniel & Elizabeth ELDRIDGE

If it helps all the prison records I can find for Daniel give a birth year of 1807.

A couple of other trees say that birth is not possible as those possible parents Richard & Sarah Cramp were bap offspring in Sussex at that time.

1807 is more likely given age at death..
