Talking Henry Maunder b. 1804

Im trying to track my 4th great uncle Henry Maunder b. 1804 Cullumpton Devon.

Henrys parents are William Maunder & Maria Andrews, while his wife was Harriett Stocker.

Henry was transported to NSW in 1839 on the Barossa for sheep stealing. He served 7 years of a 14 year sentence.

After his release he simply vanishes.

Ive searched bdm nsw & got death certs however they arent my man.

Ancestry says he died in either 1882 in paramatta (no official record) or 1890 in Stroud (not him)

Re: Henry Maunder b. 1804

Hi

The Henry Maunder on the Barossa [1839] had been charged with Burglary and received 14y, this may have been commuted at some point. He was aged 36y [b. c1803]. Married with 4 children. Occupation = weaver. Just to confirm this is your man.

Unsure whether that is Liverpool Plains or Liverpool suburb of Sydney

Re: Henry Maunder b. 1804

In 1867 [NSW Directory, Samson] there are 3x Maunders in Liverpool Plains... J, G and T all of Walhallow.
