Hi Dave,

According to the Cheshire Parish Register Database Stephen Morris married Mary Wilkinson at Great Budworth on 31/12/1792. The witnesses were John Wilkinson and John Moores.

Re: Stephen MORRIS & Mary

Thanks Emeltee.

Next would be a search for 1841 and for their deaths. Can't see a death for Stephen 1839 - 1841 so should be in census. Several in Cheshire and Lancashire. Large number of possible deaths for Mary.

Dave

Re: Stephen MORRIS & Mary

Perhaps the marriage just does not record the fact he is deceased as of 1839.

Robert's father Robert Anderson died 1847.

Anderson Robert Chorlton 20 202

I'd like the census ref thanks and a check of the parish. I didn't think there was such a parish of Manchester in RD Chorlton until 1916.

Re: Stephen MORRIS & Mary

Thanks Emeltee.

No sign of a Stephen who fits in 1841 census so that death looks likely.

Probably no hope re Mary.

Dave
