Re: Newberys 1800's Hampton Court england

thank you all I have much info to sort through ...
didnt get to read it all through.

but I will gladly type up info from Frederick Thomas Newbery later.

I believe Sarah Rolfe married James Newbery; son of John Newbery and Sarah Newington (Giles) Newbery; both were living in1841 at same place then 1842 James John is born. Next is Barbara I believe who never married. then Sarah Jane who married McGregor...I have info on James John Newbery born 1842 if someone needs.

Next question we have Aline Winifred Newbery age 7 1888 dies in Willesden I thought buried willesden cemetery but upon reading memorial card again it is Willesden Old Church...I found one photo but no address and not sure if Old Church was Shrine of Mary in Willesden? does anyone know England?
thank you all so much so much.

Re: Newberys 1800's Hampton Court england

There are other Newbery families in England.

Thomas Giles could be father, brother, uncle - there is no way yet found to tell how he is related.

Middle names often come from mother's side but they can also come from the place were someone is born.

Marriages Sep Qtr 1842 ** Image not found 10/01/14 **
NEWBERY James St Jas Westr 1 97
ROLFE Sarah St Jas Westr 1 97

Unlikely to be the first marriage for James considering the date. I've ruled two marriages out because that James signed by his mark. I'm therefore assuming our James was literate.

Re: Newberys 1800's Hampton Court england

Thanks Geoff.

A problem then. Which one?

Quote:
All Saints, Frindsbury is a Parish church serving the combined parish of Frindsbury with Upnor and Chattenden. The church dates from 1075 ...
Quote:
Dartford... The Parish Church, Holy Trinity, is situated on the western bank of the River Darent, from where a hermit would conduct travellers across the ford. The church was originally a 9th-century Saxon structure, but gained later Norman additions. In the 13th century a Royal Wedding was celebrated there; thus today the choristers are entitled to wear scarlet cassocks....

Yeah, it's only the place that is in question [about 30 miles between them], probably need the original PR's to determine that, unless more info available about siblings etc
