Ok, Dave... Good luck with that.

Just a thought, could they have met whilst he was in the army?

Re: Newberys 1800's Hampton Court england

Greetings from America! We had been away and then I became ill...just checked email this evening. So fascinating...absolutely. Thank you.
Any info on John Newbery 's parents and sarah Newington (Giles) Newbery parents. Let me get this right they have a family Sarah Newington (Giles) Newbery passes away date unknown. Then John marries another Sarah who is a widow....!!!
but no word yet on that romantic interesting tale on how John became wealthy?

Re: Newberys 1800's Hampton Court england

Seems no one has managed to find the parents of John born abt 1753 or even where he was born.

I have not managed to find a copy of that letter.

Re: Newberys 1800's Hampton Court england

Hello I am just reading this and I hope someone responds. My name is Linda Newbery my father Edjar John Newbery was born in Paris France. I think he is one of the missing children noted in this forum... I only know he had a younger brother Harold Newbery and I do not know of his other siblings. He grew up in New York.... I hope someone will contact me so I add add some pages to the history of this family .... thank you....
