Shadrack Ball. 1817. Wycombe, Bucks.

Hi all. Back again.

Can this fellow be found in the 1841 census. He married Sarah Darvell in 1839......she appeares to be in London with daughter Aylyff Ball.

Shadrack Ball was a confectioner, so it's possible he may have left the country in search of sugar, or lost in London trying to find it..

Thanks.

Steve.

Did your Shadrack have a brother named William Peter Smith Ball?

I will email the articles anyway

Sarah Ball 25-29 Middlesex

If i have the above right, does the census say if Sarah is a boarder or visitor and does it have her martial status?

Unfortunately the 1841 Census only gives the most basic of details - no mention of marital status or relationship. Nor does it give Head of Household, boarder etc.

Re: Shadrack Ball. 1817. Wycombe, Bucks.

Sorry teve, can't find him anywhere. However whilst searching under the name Shadrach I did come across one wth the surname Godlyhore. I didn't think the Church would allow you to be one and be godly at the same time!
