James TINKER

Hello cp,

Quote:
name: James Tinker
event: Census
event date: 1841
gender: Male
age: 45
birthplace: Yorkshire
record type: Household
registration district: Huddersfield
sub-district: Newmill
civil parish: Kirkburton
county: Yorkshire

Please see if you can find James. I wonder if he is a widower or if there is a gap in the children's ages to indicate a possible 2nd spouse.

Regards,

Dave

Re: James TINKER

Hello cp,

Thank you very much. I'm not sure what it says. It says Muslin as part of the adress but it looks like oo ll so woollen.

Well now I'm stuck. I'd better start checking marriages to an Elizabeth.

I'm not even sure now who I thought his spouse was. This one:

groom's name: James Tinker
groom's birth date:
groom's birthplace:
groom's age:
bride's name: Amelia Banoclough
bride's birth date:
bride's birthplace:
bride's age:
marriage date: 18 Apr 1813
marriage place: Kirkburton, York, England

groom's name: James Tinker
groom's birth date:
groom's birthplace:
groom's age:
bride's name: Betty Moorhouse
bride's birth date:
bride's birthplace:
bride's age:
marriage date: 31 Aug 1818
marriage place: Kirkburton, York, England

I'm stuck anyway because even if Milley is Amelia it looks as though she died before 1841.

Regards,

Dave

Re: James TINKER

Hello cp,

Thanks.

Two Joseph TINKERs and two George CARTWRIGHTs. Of course.

A shoe maker lives at causey foot.

Ah. So how do I prove the Roid House one married Ann B. ?

groom's name: George Cartright
groom's birth date:
groom's birthplace:
groom's age:
bride's name: Judith Goldthorp
bride's birth date:
bride's birthplace:
bride's age:
marriage date: 06 Feb 1823
marriage place: Kirkburton, York, England

I've come across the name GOLDTHORP recently.

Please see if you can find the one with the HIRSTs in 1851. Thanks.

Regards,

Dave

Re: James TINKER

Hello cp,

Thanks.

Deaths Mar 1850
CARTWRIGHT Martha Huddersfield 22 267

Maiden name HANSON. I might have been interested further if it had been HIRST.

That's it for this topic.

Regards,

Dave
