Re: John COLEMAN

Thanks Geoff.

Birth 33140/1890 COLEMAN ETHEL M - JOHN HARRIETT A - SUNNY CORNER

Marriage 8113/1912 SMITH JAMES W H - COLEMAN ETHEL M - WOOLLAHRA * Not CofE PR *

1935 NSW Electoral Roll - East Sydney - Surry Hills
SMITH James William Henry, 61 Phelps street, labourer
SMITH Ethel May, 61 Phelps street, home duties

Different address.

A birth in 1866 or 1867 presents a problem. Charles and Margaret married in 1872.

If mother = Margaret is correct then either John was born before his parents married or his father Charles married twice, both to a Margaret. Charles born abt 1836 but baptism not found so could have married before the 1872 one.

No birth reg in NSW 1865 - 1868 for a John Coleman.

Death 7390/1885 COLEMAN CHARLES AGE 49 YEARS DIED SUNNY CORNER BATHURST * 16 Dec

Dave
