What is a Chaldion?

Just found an entry on Ebay for a Coal receipt with a weight measurement that I have never heard of - a Chaldion?

I have looked it up but can only get an approx. measurement of 36 bushels!

I think the only text written by N E Sandiford on the top two cards is the signature and these tend to be nothing like 'normal' writing.
A suggested the lower Norman could have been 'flowered' as...

She was born in 1860 and was 49 when she married my GGF, I don't think the marriage cert will have any more detail than that on the parish one.
It even had Josephs father as Joseph when it should be...

Yes that's the way I used to do it but just lately if I put data in for results I have had before the results are not at the front but are deep down, its very, very odd!
