Father : Sigbjorn and a farmer<br />
 His name does seem to change Sigbjornsen - Knutsen -Knudson. I guess he would have been called Sigbjornsen as was the way then but don't know the reason for Knutsen to Knudson. (Anglicised from the Norwegian Name Knud Sigbjornson possibly ) <br />

The above was born Beeston,Nottingham 1830 and died Horsforth near Leeds 1886 he was a celebrated Author a founder of the Horsforth Institute and also of the Leeds Permanent BS<br />
He was also the High Sherrif<br />
he married Elizabeth Johnson at St Peters Cathedral Leeds  in 1856<br />
his parents were Amos Mayhall and Mary Feetham(both desceased when John passed ,but his wife Elizabeth lived until 1905<br />
John and Elizabeth lived at Rose Villa Scotland Lane Horsforth.<br />
Has a family we know that he left a will but although we have tried to negotiate the National Archives I cannot seem to find it<br />

FreeCEN says it has 100% coverage of Ayrshire in 1851 but I can't find the right family.  I keep finding families outside Largs.<br />
<br />
Perhaps I'm wrong in thinking that stayed in Largs.  Not Paisley or Glasgow.<br />

He was called William Wright 'Bill'<br />
I'd put his birth year from about 1913-1920 <br />
My Dad was born in Camberwell (John Johnson 28-6-35) to Winifred Doris Johnson. I'm pretty sure he was from the same area and so would have lived around there. <br />
They used to go hops picking together and my Aunt has a picture that I hope to get a copy of. <br />
<br />
I doubt I'll ever get to the bottom of this as my Gran has died and I'd imagine Mr Wright has passed on too.</div>
