Would there been any form of assisted passage to Australia in the mid to late 1800's, apart from military and transportation etc.

Steve,

There are assisted passenger list on Ancestry NSW 826-1922 and NSW 1828-1896, whether there are anymore?

Hi,

Yes.

To 1896 for NSW
To 1871 for Victoria
To 1886 for SA
To 1912 for Qld.

That's a start.

Thanks Julie and Dave,
The shiplist.com is interesting, you could tell who they 'wanted' from the scale of payments. Obviously young blood required.

Thanks again.
