Are there any records of ships that sailed out of Halifax in the late fifties please. the company i am looking for is I Believe the White Star Line.
Also are would it be possible to find school records.

The White Star line merged with the Cunard line in 1933.

Found this site called Halifax memories and does mention a couple of ships of the Cunard White Star line, its to do with a calender, but I dont know if the ships were of the 50's or earlier.

Its seems that pier 21 in Halifax was similar to Ellis Island, so if the ships came in then they would be going back out. The link is to Canada's Immigration Museum (Pier 21). There is also a research dept which may be of help. The other link about the calender would probaly be pictures of ships from an earlier time.

If you are wanting the inward bound passenger lists then they are held at the National Archives at Kew.

Thanks for all your help I guess I will have to visit kew.
Old age does not help me, I came back rom Canada in 1952 aboard the SS Nova Scotia I think. Over time I have mislaid all the paper work I had connected to my trip thanks again
