:) Was wondering if anyone can give me a site to go check out irish ancestors...what would be the besyt place to start..this is what i have but need to know how i can get more details..
i found these two slips of paper in bible
Unassisted Immigration to Victoria Australia1852-79)
FANNING
Names: MARY Jane age 18
Ship: HERALD OF THE MORNING
Month: NOV
Year: 1859
then i found this
FANNING
Given Names: MARY JANE
Ship: ANNIE WILSON
Month: NOV
Year: 1864
Thomas is my husbands grand father..
and we are trying to now do up his family tree..
any help would be appreciated..
Thomas RYAN, his birth registered in SOUTH AUSTRALIA 1881 as Thomas Robert and he had a younger brother named Ignatius Emmet.
Thomas's parents, Michael Augustine Bernard RYAN and Mary Jane FANNING, married in VICTORIA, 1866.

:) Thank you for the sites..i have a large inlaw family to get thru now ..my husbands family are very large they have up to 9-13 even more kids to a family,and some go way back ,and now i find there are convicts among the families..Can you tell me if BRYAN is a form of RYAN.as i am having a jog deciphering ryans from the bryans ...on some birth certs i have it says bryan and i know for sure they were known as ryans ..thank you Lynne:)
