The presentment bills were reports by church wardens, usually about people who had broken church law.
ps: Sorry for the long link, I'm afraid I don't know how to add a clickable one.

Thats very interesting Kate - thanks for the post ;)
Heres a sample when going thro the list looking for HALLAM:
Easter, summer and winter 1618/19
Churchwardens present the following: [top part of presentment missing through damage] ... [-] Heynsworth, being a parishioner, did not receive the communion in our parish last Easter, nor at any time since Easter twelvemonth; Robert Reason by common fame has committed fornication with Elizabeth Jacklyne of Hucknall in Derbyshire [Ault Hucknall];
Marye Hallam has had a child by Richard Thorpe, for which she was presented by the apparitor and thereupon excommunicated, and since absolved.
Place name obscured by damage; identified as Teversal from names of churchwardens.
Date obscured by damage; found in series of presentment bills from Easter 1618.
Written in another hand next to Robert Reason's presentment, 'emt in 9 Maij'.
Poor Marye Hallam has had a child by Richard Thorpe, for which she was excommunicated and since absolved. - great!
A bit different from now days!! ;)
Thanks,
Dave
