Census 1915-1940

Was there any census done around these years 1915-1940 for manchester/oldham/lancashire..if so where could i find them.:confused:

Hi there :)

Yes, apart from during the war, the census was carried out every 10 years. Unfortunately the latest transcribed one was 1901 I'm afraid, owing to the 100 year closure on releasing census details to protect the individuals concerned.

There is, I believe, a campaign at the moment to try and get the 1911 census released early, but how successful that might be I don't know.

Was there anything particular you wanted to find out?

Yes trying to find grandparents/gt grandparents and cant seem to find them in B.D.M s so i thought i could poss find them in a census
