I am aware of the tree on Ancestry for this family.

So the family travelled sometime between 1861 & 1866.

I was looking for family notices in the papers that sometimes have info on when they arrived etc but im not finding much on this family at all:rolleyes: Im beginning to think they moved interstate or went back to England:confused:

I cant find their arrival in the QLD assisted passenger lists or in NSW:rolleyes:

There are several possible hits in the Unassisted to NSW index.

Well, they may have arrived in Australia via NZ and then returned to NZ.

PROV have redesigned the indexes. Can't see them in or out of Victoria.

HAMMOND, William Francis Trained as a surveyor, architect and engineer in England, he came to New Zealand in 1871 and commenced practice at Auckland. Later his sons Prank and Horace joined him in the firm of W. F. Hammond and Sons, practicing at Auckland. He was a foundation member of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors. Granted licence under Land Transfer Act in January, 1880

And maybe[?] them leaving Sydney for New Zealand :confused:
