I am trying to find a walter crockett b 1846.
FMP shows a walter crockett b 1847 living in whitechapel but I cannot get the details as my subscription has lapsed.
Ancestry does not pick this record up, so I need some way to narrow the search on Ancestry to which I do have a subscription.

If yes, the other Walter 25yrs address Alderbury Wilts
is in Anx under Winterbourne.

Is this your Walter?
Should he be married to Sarah by now?

Looks like Walter 35 is in 1881 census Bootmaker married to Sarah 25 with son
Sidney aged 5yrs.
So, I'm guessing this is the Walter, Peter is looking for?
He's in Stoke next Guildford Surrey, wife bn S'hampton as is the son.
There's a marriage in S'hampton 1875 Walter Ballentine Crockett to Sarah Brewer???
In Wandsworth 1891.

My theory is you are looking for Walter an umbrella maker, parents William 1811 and Mary Ann 1820, married to Sarah possibly Sarah Jane Taylor Dec Qtr 1890 Fulham ref 1a 412. The name is Crocker so possibly an error.
Sarah Jane Taylor is 37 and u/m in 1881 living with her mother ref RG11-485-103-35

1841 HO107-706-11/25-4 Very bad image, William (9th name from bottom of right hand page), Mary, William 5, Robt 1
Walter is born 1848 City of London (Spitalfields/Bishopgate)
1851 HO107-1534-239-2 aged 4
1861 RG9-235-38-44 aged 13
1871 RG10-504-7-14 aged 24, wife Georgina 21 and child Robert Dale 13 months (I think this Robt 11 in 1881 and a Mary A 9 in 1881 both with 'parents', William and Mary are Walters Children. Georgina died Sep 1872 CROCKETT Georgina 23 Bethnal Green 1c, 198 probably at Mary A's birth)

Walter is missing 1881 but his parents are

ah ha, so the one I found in 1871 is correct but his wife died and he remarried a Sarah?

Thanks for that Dave, Umbrella Maker appears to be the family trade!
The reason I was looking for Walter is that my GGM Elizabeth Mary Ann Walton(Crockett) is missing from the 1881 census but she turns up in the 1891 living with a George Dunkley(Also an Umbrella Maker).
She married the said George in 1894 as a widow, strange as her 1st Husband Joseph Walton is still alive and kicking!
He also married in 1881 saying he was a batchelor!
All in all a very mixed up goings on, which I wish I could get to the bottom of!
Anyway thanks to you all I think I now have a fuller picture of some of the goings on in my rellies!

For the crew E.M.A Crockett bapt 16.11.1851
St Matthias, Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets.
Her father was WILLIAM umbrella maker and her mother Mary Ann.
She's with her parents in 1861, father as William.
