Oh my word, there is an Australian death notice in The Townsville Bulletin for his wife, who dies in 1932, maybe in Mackay, Queensland.
Albert Gibbons dies in Queensland in 1911. Maybe Mackay.??
This is right on Gibbo's doorstep, and she's asleep I would guess.:rolleyes::2fun:
Mention of daughters Mrs.Hirsh, and Mrs.H. James plus son Ernest Gibbons.
Brother John Simonds is in Mackay, apparently.
Come on Gibbo......WAKE UP>eek):2fun::2fun:

Im really confused now :confused:
IF the above is the right passenger list for them, they have a infant named Arthur with them. Then i found 2 birth indexes for a Arthur Gibbons and 2 death indexes for them also, which we know are right from the parents names on them.
If its the right passenger list what happened to the Arthur that come out here with them. I must have the wrong passenger list :confused: Its not like they would call their next son Arthur if the one on the list is alive :confused:

Is there a birth reg for Arthur in UK? If not then it's possible his birth was registered on arrival. Infant usually means under 1 year.
I have several similar though not 100% proved cases that appear in my tree.

The passenger list is dated 1883 and the first birth for a Arthur that is registered is in 1889. Need to find the actual passenger list and see if the little one died on the ship coming over maybe.

So they are buried there without headstones then, or the person who took the photos walked right past the Gibbons. :rolleyes:
Ok, I'd better check my tree for possible Mackay burials. :D
