Can this one be found please. Not a lot of information on her but she is the only one i have missing out of her family. Her mother died in 1831, father and several brothers migrated to Australia in the 1830's and she doesnt appear to be on the census of her other siblings who stayed behind in England.

Louisa Ann Pratt who was baptised on 9th July 1826 was buried under the name of Lucy Ann on 27th September 1846. Shelford Gt Cambridge

Thanks.

Thanks for that Steve.

This has me confused. I checked deaths out for Louisa and for Lucy and found these below on the free bmd. They are the only ones for these names in 1846, besides a "Pratt Louisa Thorpe" so we know this one isnt her but these other 2 below:confused: How could her death be registered in one of them places and yet it has been confirmed she is buried at the St Mary the Virgin Great Shelford:confused:

Deaths Dec 1846
Pratt Lucy Ann London W 2 185

Deaths Dec 1846

Is there a birth for LUCY Ann Pratt.

OR....there could be 2 of them, and one never got baptised..

I think the RADFORD one is a bit far out.......Nottinghamshire.

bride's name: Louisa Pratt
bride's birth date:
bride's birthplace:
bride's age:
marriage date: 09 Sep 1849
marriage place: Saint Leonards,Shoreditch,London,England
groom's father's name:
groom's mother's name:
bride's father's name:
bride's mother's name:
groom's race:
groom's marital status:
groom's previous wife's name:
bride's race:
bride's marital status:
bride's previous husband's name:

Place of birth for that Louisa in 1851 should rule her in or out.

Why would Louisa be buried as Lucy? How could Jane make that mistake?

She was supposed to have been dead before then:confused:

Louisa Ann Pratt who was baptised on 9th July 1826 was buried under the name of Lucy Ann on 27th September 1846. Shelford Gt Cambridge

Or you saying what if that burial in 1846 isnt her?

I'm saying several things. :2fun:

Just asking questions.

If the burial was 27 Sep then is that death reg in London in Dec Q the right one?

Where was the error made with her name? Before the death was registered hence the wrong name in the reg? Why then registered in London? I suppose the reg could be on 1 Oct.

Can we rule out that marriage by showing that one was not born in Cambridge? EDIT: Yes

As to the question is there another Lucy Ann PRATT born before 1846 - Yes in Frome.

:2fun::2fun: And it should have enough info hopefully to confirm or eliminate her.

It should do that.

I suppose London to Cambridge is not far.

I have one in my tree who died in Perth and was buried in Sydney. :D
