Hi
I'm trying to get information regarding th family of Philip Girouard Bennett who was born in 1930 in Kenya, but who emigrated to Australia in 1963 with his wife Jeryl. He had 2 children Mary and Philip who were living in Australia.

We are distantly through the Arnison family.
I would be grateful for any information.

Hi,

Found some more information for you. They settled in Western Australia and Philip Girouard Bennett died in May 2000. I do have more information but as it concerns living people i will send you a private mesage with the details.

Hi My name is Mary Elizabeth Montefiore nee Bennett. Philip Girouard Bennett was my father. His mother was Marjorie Fenwick (b Newcastle upon Tyne). Her parents were Thomas Dobson Fenwick and Alice Arnison (daughter of Joseph Simpson Arnison and Isabella).
My father, my brother and I were all born in Kenya. Migrated to Western Australia in 1963 - year of Independance for Kenya. We farmed at Rocky Gully until 1981 when my parents moved to Albany. Unfortunately my father developed alzheimers at an early age and was ill for many yeards prior to his death. I lived in Perth for several years but returned to Albany in 1992. We have 3 daughters who all live in Perth at present.
I do know a little of the family history but it is limited and it has been of interest for many years. I did have contact with Shirley Warnock in Maple Creek Canada for some years. She was a descendant of Joseph Naters Arnison. Unfortunately I have no family photos etc.
Hope to hear from you Mary

Hi Mary
It's lovely to hear from you. I'm writing on behalf of my cousin in Canada, Val, who's the sister of Shirley. Our Great grandfather was Joseph Naters Arnison, and my Grandfather was Charles Henry Arnison, whilst theirs was Joseph Naters Arnsion.
Between us we've done quite a bit of work on the Arnisons and Naters, and Val sent me a load of photos of the family. Last year Val and her sister Gloria came across to England and we met up in Newcastle and went around the various places and managed to find a few more things, and took loads of photos.
My Mum (Charles' daughter) died 5 years ago, of Alzeimers, so I can understand what you went through.
Regards
Heather
