Hello crankypants,

Thanks.

Do we have something that proves the trees are correct? Such as parent and son together in E/R :D (unlikely) or ...

I'd better go get a copy of the death notice. :)

Ok, it took me ages to get the notice to come up. :D I'll accept that as proof. :)

Lionel was the first of 4 children.

Hello crankypants,

The marriage was either and/or very late and/or in another state:

Hello crankypants,

There is another PEARCE family in Victoria. Another William Arthur PEARCE married in 1895 to Fanny.

1909 VIC Electoral Roll - Bourke - Preston
PEARCE Fanny, West street, Preston, home duties
PEARCE William Arthur, West street, Preston, letter carrier

I don't know if it's coincidence or not but Vivienne Ethel could be their daughter. Or perhaps the families are related in some way and the names come from a previous generation.

Dave

Hello crankypants,

Ethel was a Mrs GRIFFITHS in her mother's notice so I'd say that's probably her in Deakin. What's the cut-off date for the death index? I wonder if the 1962 death is correct and if she is still a GRIFFITHS.

And, where did I get 1962 from. :D

Hello crankypants,

Perhaps an impossible task if Elizabeth is in E/R as just Elizabeth MARTIN without spouse. Unless she was the only one in Narrandera or Goulburn.

The marriage reg just has Francis L.

Hello crankypants,

This is the closest I'd say:

Elizabeth Martin Female 1930 New South Wales Riverina Ardlethan

I think Hay is too far away. If the JACKSON had been Riverina Ardlethan.

If you could, ... oh Elizabeth died in 1933 so 1936 is no use.

It's probably the JACKSON one so I'm trying to find Violet in 1930 and/or 1933 before she married.

Violet Helen May JACKSON but not Violet Helen May MARTIN.

Dave

Thanks. That looks like a different family in Ardlethan.

If only we knew Violet L M was Violet Helen May.

Good Afternoon Dave,
Stinking Hot downunder! I am researecher for The Ballarat & Queen's Anglican Grammar School. We are researching our early families that have had their sons enrolled at the school. One of first boys was Ronald Hampden Douglas Martin (b.1904, Woomelang, Victoria, Aust). I am interested in any details of his life, death, career, anything really. If you can help - that would be most fantastic! I have stumbled onto a line of inquiry following his brother Lionel. Hope you assist! Thanks David Perrin
