Walls

My great great grandparents were born and marries in Scotland. The OPR says they were from Garranhill. They were married in County/Ayr - Parish Muirkirk. Can anyone tell me with where Garranhill is/was?

His name was William Walls. Her name was Grace (Grazzel) Howat/Howit.

They were both born around 1805 and imigrated to the US in 1843.

Hi I understand Garranhill is a few houses near Muirkirk in the county of Ayrshire, about 20 miles due East of Ayr. This web page may be of interest

I have given up on Grace. I can't find any trace at all of a Baptism.

That does not mean that they don't exist or not baptised, just that they will not come up and speak to you !!

Sorry for the disappointing result. I usually enjoy looking for the Scottish ones, but not this time
