Hi Again

I have read and heard a lot about the Family Records Centre in London and also somewher in Que (?) Gardens.

Firstly what's the difference, is one better than the other?

Secondly when you go to one of them, how do they work? Once you found a record can you get a copy of the certificate then and there, how muvh are they? Do you get to see it before you buy it? Etc etc.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

The certificates are not for the public to view and they are held at, I think Southport in Lancs. The Cost of a certificate is £7.00 it was last year. You can order online, order from the FRC or from the local registry office that covers St. Pancras, you can also order from Southport, but I wouldnt recommend that, as the certificates are more expensive and take longer to receive.

Use the links that I posted on your thread for the FRC and TNA and you can broswe through to see what records they keep.
