Hi Dave
I've had no luck finding them in the U.K. The Marriage notice says her father John CHERRY was formerly from Ireland.
The Sydney Morning Herald... Friday 2 December 1870
MARRIAGE
GANDON-CHERRY-October 27, by special license, at St.
Augustine's Church, Balmain, by the Rev. Paul Newman,
Andrew James, second son of the late Andrew Gandon of
Sydney, formerly of Chatham, England, to Mary Anna, fifth
daughter of Mr. John Cherry, Balmain, formerly of Limerick, Ireland.
cheers

Hello crankypants,
Thank you very much. No wonder I was having no luck in England. Yet more Irish connections in my tree. Am I turning green yet? :D
I'm going to have to spend some time searching old copies of newspapers 2nd time around now that more have been digitised.
Regards,
Dave
