not on the 1901 census.WHY???

1901 census look up please.got family of webbs have all info but no can find em on the 1901 census .head of household george webb born worcester about 1852/3 spouse jane?born 1849 silverdale lancs.in 1891 they were living in cowpen quay, blyth northumberland but by march 1901 they were living in west hartlepool as they had a daughter born in wood street west hartlepool then.i have never been able to find them on this census. but know that they were here in hartlepool from about 1892/4 as they had a son born in 1894 samuel webb. they did move about all over as had i child born stafford shire , then 1 in castleford yorkshire , then 5 in blyth and 2 in hartlepool.suexx

here goes, story so far.
george webb b. worcester 1852/3 dies 1907 hpool
jane ?b. 1849 silverdale lancs
rose elizabeth.b.1873 staffordshire,conflicting info through the census, has been listed as born litchfeild and hednesford.
nor/nora? born1878/9 castleford yorkshire.
william george b.1888.cowpen blyth northumberland
ann jane.b1885 cowpen blyth northumberland
charlotte.b.cowpen 1890 died 1891 cowpen
mary ann born 1890 cowpen died hartlepool 1901
ada florence/drops the ada and is called florence b.1891 cowpen.
samuel b.hartlepool1894 dies 1972 in hpool
ellen dean. b.1901 hartlepool.
think there possibly may have been more children as there is a gap between rose and nor of about five years could have been miscarriages or still births , just seems odd as, or could be george webb was away somewere or something.have traced all the kids and offspring apart from rose she missing after 1891 census and nor/a the same.i have ada florence as florence in 1911 age 26 and single but after that? have been unable to find a marriage for george and jane, they are listed on census,s as married but have had a few possibles but the dates have never matched georges occupation was miner he is listed as a cartman and a coal miner , thats why they went to cowpen quay as there are were 2 mines there, have tried to find him on the web site i have for the north east but altho the mines in cowpen are listed nothing re george. thanks for helping , im going nuts with this lot.

Here comes a dumb question, but do you have a birth cert for one of the children, with mothers maiden name on.

i wish,next thing on my agenda was going to get samuels as he was born in hartlepool my hubbys great granda, and his father george which i wil order on line.got samuels marriage certif which lists his father as george webb deceased as he died 1907 and samuel married in 1916.suex

I've tried every combination I can think of but the only one I can find is Ann Jane. In 1901 she is working a a servant to a farmer and his family at Cronkley, Bywell, Northumberland

yes i looked at that as a possible.been over my stuff today and just realised , that i surmised that samuel was born in hartlepool , but looked today and only birth i can find is for 1893 in tynemouth northumberland, it must be him as tynemouth includes cowpen and blyth, were the other kids were born . have got the 1911 census:
jane webb widow age 55 housekeeper
william g webb son age 20 single
florence webb age 20 single-servant
samuel webb age 17 single apprentice sawyer
ellen deane age 10
this is definatly the right family as they were living at 17 mozart street in hartlepool and that is were samuel is listed as living on his marriage certificate in july 1916
never been able to find this lot on the 1901 census when i know they lived in wood street as that is were ellen deane was born, in 1901, something not quite right but what i have no idea, glad you guys are helping me out im totally baffled.funnily enough one of the other kids mary ann died age 14 in sept 1901 in hartlepool as well yet no census. just a point would a death certificate for a child give the mothers maiden name, i know they did when i had my kids 30 years ago wondered if it was the same then. as can get the certif here if it which is a bonus. thanks ever so guys suexx
