Hi Steve,

He isnt with the family in 1901, they give their pob as Leeds the same pob in 1891. Nothing coming up for Arthur born, Wortley or Leeds, but there is a Ernest Crompton born abt 1879 Leeds, occupation -------smith living in the civil parish of Bradford and cannot account for him at the moment.

Hi Julie,

He certainly does not want to be found. I am now wondering if he had a double life.

As Janice(Newmexican) mentioned in a previous thread for Wynne Blanchard, this could have been a stage or rpofessional name for Arthur Crompton, as a 'scientific palmist'.
Janices Grandfather's name on birth cert was George Henry Wynne Crompton. George also inserted the name of Blanchard into his surname, even though it does not appear on the birth cert. (probably not enough space).
I will still keep looking for Arthur in 1901. Now where is he................?

Arthur and Rosina in 1911 are all there with the kids.
But have not checked for Wynne Blanchard as I don't have access of 1911 census.
Crankypants found the 1911 entry for Arthur and family.
